It's been forever

It's been a long while since I blogged. I have found time though to keep up with the blogs of others. I have been busy with the family. One of my sons is facing a health challgene - after a college physical , it was dicovered that he has to have open heart surgery. This came as a shock because he has been and continues to be athletic. He is currently on the Track team at Nassau Communty College and doing quite well (if I might add).
I am grateful to God that the heart defect was found because so many times these things are not detected until it is to late. So I am grateful knowing that God will see us through.

I have kept my self busy with crafting, sewing and my gift basket business "Expressions Of Faith - All occasion gift baskets. I am also working on developing a counseling and resource organization for teen mothers. "Project - Promised Destiny".

I am going to post pictures soon - just got a new camera, still learning how to work it. lol

Glad to hear from you. So sorry to hear about your son; however, I am glad that the defect was detected sooner rather than later. I'll be watching your blog for updates. I will put Shay's son on the prayer list.

Hey there! I've been thinking about you and wondering if you were OK. The blogging community--and especially sewers are a kind and caring community. Thank you for sharing about your son. And we thank the Lord that the doctor's discovered this while he is young because with most athletics, they find too late (as in when they're dead!). I will email you privately with some things that may help, God willing.
BTW: My middle nephew is in Suffolk county. in early January, he was the highest scorer in all of LONG ISLAND! :-) He's very good and so is my youngest nephew (who's here) in basketball
