Organizing my sewing room

I have been trying to organize my sewing room. It seems as though I have been doing this for months or maybe even years. lol If I could only stop shopping. My new plan is to sew more and shop less. lol

My only other option has been to donate or give away some things. I have been giving things to my church, girl scouts and a old neighbor who sews. I recently received a sewing basket that belonged to one of my aunts who passed away. I am going to take pics of the what was inside.
Stay tuned--you will be surprised.

Dress for my DD

We had Woman's Day at Church. The attire was white outfit with black accessories. I found this simple pattern (New Look 6885).

Here is my DD in her dress. I used white cotton eyelet. The only adjustment I had to make was , adding a heavier lining in the skirt part of the dress. It looks really pretty on her. She advised with making all the alterations. I did have to cut off about 3 inches for the hem.

Huge picture

OMG! I was trying to add a new pic to the header to my blog. Does anyone know how I can decrease the size of this pic. I tried to remove it but my computer seems to have frozen. I am going to log out and try to return a decrease the pic size before anyone sees it. lol

Blast from the past

This is my lovely God-daughter (10 years old). She is wearing a dress that I made for her sister when was she was 10 years old or so. Her sister is now 15, and the dress is still alive and well. Please notice the matching lollipop, lol.

Prom 2009

It's been some time since I last blogged. Although, I have been following the blogs of others and been getting inspired. However , I have been putting in some time in working on prom and graduation.

I made my son's prom dates dress. The pattern is Butterick 4731, dress was made from views B & D. For accent I added white beading across the upper bodice. I also made the purse.

Oh her date is my handsome some who graduated from high school.
